Regular radiation protection instrument (RPI) calibration is essential to ensure that measurement instrumentation delivers reliable and accurate results that help to ensure the safety of those working in nuclear environments and can be a regulatory requirement. James Fisher Nuclear calibrates and repairs RPI equipment for customers throughout the UK we offer a fast, reliable and accurate service, carried out by experienced and fully qualified staff.
Our service is backed up by a solid quality management system to BS EN ISO 9001:2015 and uses sources traceable to both national and international standards. All work meets the standards set by the Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017 (IRR17) and all relevant Good Practice Guide guidance.
We can deliver a cost effective and comprehensive service both on site and at our fully equipped labs accredited to BS EN ISO 17025:2017 for: periodic tests, test before first use, full instrumentation checks, repairs and adjustments and retests after repair for instruments from all major RPI suppliers.
