Optical and radiation surveys
James Fisher Nuclear is at the forefront of visual inspection and surveying solutions in hard to access areas.
Accurate information is essential to the beginning of any project. Our teams of highly competent engineers, designers and operators will carry out optical and radiation surveys by deploying robotic manipulators and remotely operated vehicles to place camera systems and sensors in hazardous environments and gather the data needed to make accurate and effective decisions.
These include:
- irradiated cells
- enclosed plant cells and vessels
- underwater -
- pipe surveys
- interior of filled vessels
During camera surveys where conditions are not ideal for visual imaging, JFN applies real-time image enhancement techniques to improve image quality revealing details otherwise hidden. This enables the survey operator to prioritise objects and features to further focus on.
