James Fisher Nuclear has strong and highly capable leadership team with a wealth of experience and knowledge within nuclear and other high integrity industries.
Stuart Joined JFN in January of 2015 from Altran UK where he was Head of Energy, Industry & life sciences. He has over 20 years’ experience in Nuclear and other highly regulated industries, previously holding senior roles within AEA Technology, Serco, and AMEC.
With a First Class Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Strathclyde University, Stuart joined the nuclear industry and developed his technical career in the areas of engineering and nuclear safety case. He developed an expertise in the development and implementation of mission and safety critical programmes in highly regulated industries, addressing challenges in safety, quality, compliance and programme delivery. His passion is ensuring delivery is always focused directly on achieving the client’s needs, and is always delivered in a pragmatic, cost effective and most importantly safe and secure manner.
At senior level, Stuart has delivered significant results in a number of business, sales, strategy and operations director positions. With his depth of industry knowledge, and breadth of business leadership skills, Stuart brings strong direction to the operational infrastructure and capability in JFN, while ensuring the safe delivery of all projects.
Steve joined the James Fisher Nuclear board in 1999 as Operations Director.
Steve has over 30 years’ experience in the nuclear industry. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering as well as NEBOSH and IOSHH Management of Safety certificates. He has a wide experience in nuclear having held a number of senior roles encompassing the whole business process including design, project management, commercial and operations.
Joanne is a Chartered Accountant who is an operationally hands-on, highly commercial and strategic Finance Director with a wealth of experience across a range of industries. And has led multiple key projects where technological developments have been central to growth.
Joanne Brings to JFN an entrepreneurial edge and a strong operational focus with a wealth of experienced in contract bids from PQQ through to effective mobilisation ranging in size from large scale transformational through to smaller niche strategic bids
Steve is a degree qualified chartered mechanical engineer and has over 25 years’ experience in the nuclear industry in both the UK and US.
Steve joined James Fisher Nuclear Ltd in March 2019 as Engineering Director, having previously been a Director for 9 years at North West Projects Ltd. Steve’s career started as an apprentice at BNFL Springfields Fuels Ltd and progressed through all levels of engineering in the design arena, including responsibility for engineering, project and quality management. While at North West Projects, Steve was a key member of the senior management team responsible for growing the business from a small number of engineers and designers to circa 180 at its peak, including the development of the companies’ quality management system and operating processes.
In his role as Operations Director at JFN, Steve is responsible for providing leadership and governance of engineering, production, testing and development at the Bamber Bridge, Malton, Egremont and Bower Sites.
