Paul joined the James Fisher Nuclear board in September 2006.

He started his career in 1977 with UK Atomic Energy Authority during which time he was awarded his MSc and PhD for R&D in fundamental nuclear science. Throughout the 1980s he applied his technical skills to solving operational challenges in the nuclear field before broadening his skills to the commercial sector. This led to management positions within Fisons plc in 1989 and subsequently in 1994 with British Nuclear Fuels plc. Paul became MD of BNFL Instruments in 2000, where he led the company in applying niche technical skills to the market resulting in rapid and dramatic growth in sales and profitability.

Bertie Williams, Nuclear Director for James Fisher Nuclear, joined the company from GEDS where he was Managing Director. He served in British Army in leadership and management roles in Germany, Northern Ireland, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan, and is a graduate of UK Joint Service Command and Staff College, Shrivenham. He joined the nuclear industry in 2011 with NDSL and latterly became Managing Director of GDES upon acquisition in 2013.

Bertie is looking to build on JFN’s strong foundations, and bring his own skills and experience to help continue our growth, and cement JFN’s status as a highly capable Tier Two contractor.

Jason is a Chartered Management Accountant who began his career with GEC Althom Traction Ltd in Manchester. He has extensive experience in a number of industries such as manufacturing, retail, nuclear, oil and gas, transportation and the public sector.

During his career he has held senior finance roles with Whitbread Plc, Greenalls Group plc, Vectra Group Ltd and Tribal Group plc.

He joined James Fisher Nuclear Ltd as Finance Director in September 2010.

Steve joined the James Fisher Nuclear board in 1999 as Operations Director.

Steve has over 30 years’ experience in the nuclear industry. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering as well as NEBOSH and IOSHH Management of Safety certificates. He has a wide experience in nuclear having held a number of senior roles encompassing the whole business process including design, project management, commercial and operations.
