Environment, health, safety and quality

James Fisher Nuclear (JFN) aims to deliver products and services to the highest standard and lays great emphasis on the importance of health and safety, quality and the impact of the company's operations on the environment.
JFN recognizes that these standards have to be maintained at a high level given the hostile and challenging environments in which it works and the importance of these standards to its customers. Where customers have specific industry or in-house requirements over and above general industrial standards, JFN has the required depth of competent resource and appropriate systems in place to be able to comply.
JFN Health and Safety Policy JFN operates an ISO 18001:2007 OHSAS system across all its operating units. The company rigorously enforces compliance with the terms of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work regulations 1999 and subsequent amendments and, more generally, provides and maintain a healthy and safe working environment. The company has a clear health and safety objective: to minimizes the number of instances of occupational accidents and illnesses and ultimately to achieve an accident-free workplace. All employees are provided withsuch equipment, information, training and supervision as is necessary to implement this policy and achieve the stated objective. JFN is a member of the British Safety Council. |

JFN Quality Policy JFN Quality Policy is to ensure that products and services provided to customers are fit for their intended purpose, conform to customer requirements, national and international standards and company procedures, as well as to promote the continual improvement of the quality of these goods and services. The JFN group has a quality system approved in the form of industry standard BS EN 9001:2008 across all its operating units. The company is regularly audited internally, by customers and by independent assessors, to ensure it meets their exacting requirements and the requirements of the necessary standards. JFN Environment Policy It is the policy of JFN to comply with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations and review the environmental aspects of working practices and designs and pursue all activities within its control in such a way as to reduce their environmental impact. In order to achieve the aims of this policy we will implement an environmental management system in accordance with ISO 14001:2004. |
