Malton
The Malton site specialises in the design and manufacture of high integrity and bespoke remote handling, inspection, welding and cutting systems. Malton also focuses on the design and manufacture of modular containerised systems and has recently delivered a system which weighed over 350 tonnes. As well as extensive design offices, Malton has a large facility specialising in high precision machining of stainless steel and engineering polymers. The Malton machine shop supports not only JFN projects, but the wider James Fisher group as required. Malton is in North Yorkshire between York and Scarborough.
Deeside
Deeside is the centre of operations for two activities; the supply, calibration and maintenance of portable and installed radiation monitoring equipment and industrial non-destructive testing (NDT). JFN supplied all of the radiation monitoring equipment for the London 2012 Olympics, and has an extensive installation base across the UK nuclear industry. JF NDT is leading the exploitation of digital radiography for industrial applications and successfully deploys specialist NDT techniques across a broad customer base. Deeside is in North Wales close to Chester.
Leyland
Leyland is the head office for James Fisher Nuclear, and it is an important engineering design office with teams working on aerospace and nuclear projects. There is a dedicated stress analysis team which supports group wide projects and it’s also where the central business functions are located. Leyland is in Lancashire, located 6 miles south of Preston and is convenient for the motorway network.
Egremont
Egremont specialises in trials and test rigs - with three rig halls, the site has the capacity to mock-up large and/or complex rigs for test and evaluation services as required by our customers. The proximity to Sellafield makes Egremont an ideal location to prove technology and equipment before it goes into an active area, and often projects transfer from Leyland and Malton to Egremont for a trials phase. Egremont also specialises in the use of submersible ROVs for maintenance and decommissioning operations in fuel ponds, and has a dedicated development facility to continue this pioneering work. Egremont is in Cumbria within easy striking distance of the western fells of the Lake District.
