About Us - Safety & Environment

The Group operates a philosophy in which the management of safety, health and environmental control is integral to all commercial activities. All employees - both at sea and in the office - have a paramount responsibility to prevent accidents, incidents or injury to themselves or others, and prevent harm to the environment.

The Group’s Management Systems embrace this responsibility and encourage continual improvement in all areas.

The safety and environment objectives within the Group’s Safety Management System are set out to:

  • continuously develop and improve health, safety and environmental awareness
  • provide a safe working environment
  • review accidents and incidents
  • prevent damage to property and the marine environment
  • design and operate ships taking into consideration the efficient use of energy and materials
  • make use of re-cycling facilities whenever possible and appropriate
